Abstrakt

W Anglii powszechna jest świadomość, iż nie można przeceniać roli prawa karnego w przeciwdziałaniu omawianemu zjawisku. Ważniejsze bowiem są oddziaływania mające na celu podnoszenie świadomości społecznej w odniesieniu do negatywnych konsekwencji alkoholu w ruchu drogowym oraz zmiany postaw obywateli w kierunku zwiększania dezaprobaty łączenia konsumpcji alkoholu z prowadzeniem pojazdu, a zwłaszcza rozsądna polityka przeciwalkoholowa nastawiona na globalne zmniejszenie rozmiarów spożycia.

 

The awareness that the role of the criminal law in countering the phenomenon in question cannot be overstated is common in England. What is more important is to raise public awareness of the negative consequences of alcohol on the road traffic and to change the attitudes of citizens towards making them more disapproving of driving after alcohol consumption, and in particular a sensible anti-alcohol policy aimed at a global reduction of consumption.
