Abstract

The author of this article presents the principle of lex rei sitae in the context of limited rights in rem. He bases his considerations on the regulations contained in the Civil Code and the Private International Law Act of 1965. The author's interests include the institutions of usufruct, easement, personal servitude, pledge, cooperative right to premises, mortgage and perpetual usufruct. The author presents various concepts concerning the 'location' of subjective rights in the light of the general principle contained in Article 24 of the Private International Law Act.
