Abstract

The author of this article presents the legal regulations on the acquisition of ownership of agricultural real estate by the state through an administrative ruling, a unilateral declaration of intent or a judicial decision. The publication discusses changes in the structure of individual holdings and the practice of the state taking over properties that have been arbitrarily abandoned; whose owners have relinquished the ownership and which have been taken over for outstanding debts. In addition, the author took a closer look at the institutions for taking over agricultural property in exchange for pension provision. The practice described above is presented on the example of the Koszalin Voivodship.
