Abstract

With the scientific and technological revolution, there is a growing worldwide interest in creating new technical solutions and implementing them in production. In capitalist countries, this process leads not only to increased investment in research and development, but also to the emergence of a new phenomenon, industrial espionage. In socialist countries, the development of science and technology is the result of organised state activity. Research and invention design contracts, contracts for work on invention design and for making an invention design, and contracts for making inventions are covered. Invention design contracts with implementation teams, and contracts with individuals for invention work are presented. The rights and obligations of the parties entering into a project contract and withdrawing from it are also discussed. Polish invention law provides for the possibility of contracting for an invention design and more or less successfully governs the issues that arise in this respect.
