Abstract

The author of the article attempts to predict the future shape of crime in Poland. The predictive research on this matter can be divided into three main groups. The first group, historically the oldest one, includes research aimed at predicting recidivism. The second group, involves research, which aims to predict future criminality in people who have not yet committed any crime. The third group treats crime as a mass phenomenon. The author of this article focuses on the research of this third group with particular attention to research conducted in Poland.
